- Avoid confusing names: You will not only be writing down your new web address, but you will also be telling people it. So, make sure it is easy to pronounce and is not easily confused with similar-sounding words.
- You may want more than one: If you have a .com domain name, consider buying the .net version too. It will prevent a competitor from buying it and ensure that if someone mistypes your address, they’ll still reach your site.
