Congratulations on your upcoming app. You must be very excited. We too are about to release our first app so I know how you are feeling.

I’ll share with you something I read somewhere else about this concern about idea theft…

When you think about how much time, effort and commitment that it takes to actually put an app together, you’ll realize that while it’s possible someone might want to steal your idea, the likelihood of someone actually doing it is slim. Why? Because of the time and effort involved. Also, people often have their own projects they want to develop.

If you’re really concerned, maybe wait until the last minute to get reviews and then send your review requests out in one go at the same time as press releases, etc.

I will be releasing a unique app in the near future. Part of the marketing strategy will be letting a select few review it and test it before it goes to market so they may write about it via blogs, news sources, social media, etc. My one concern is my idea is so unique, how do I protect against it getting out into the open?
